Not every member participates in our activities. That is perfectly fine! If you just want to get together for coffee or a conversation that is what we are here for. No man should feel alone or isolated. Give us a call, send us an email.

“Loneliness is not a lack of people, it’s a lack of connection.” – Matt Haig, a well-known author and mental health advocate,

At the Mackenzie Men’s Shed, we understand that not everyone feels the need to engage in hands-on projects or group activities. Sometimes, the most valuable thing we can offer is simply a space for connection. Many of our members find comfort in joining us for coffee or a chat, and that’s perfectly okay. We’re here to support one another, whether through shared activities or just enjoying a quiet conversation. The important thing is that no man has to face life’s challenges alone.

We recognize the pressures and complexities that life can bring, and sometimes the need for human connection becomes even more essential. Our shed is not just a place to work with tools but a sanctuary where men can come together in a non-judgmental and relaxed environment. Whether you’re looking for advice, a friendly ear, or just a place to sit and reflect, our doors are always open. No expectation is placed on anyone to participate in every event or project. The idea is to create a supportive community where everyone’s needs are met, in whatever way that may look for them.

We encourage you to connect with us

Isolation can be an incredibly difficult experience, especially for men who may feel hesitant to reach out. That’s why we encourage anyone who feels alone or disconnected to take that first step and contact us, whether it’s by phone or email. We want to assure you that you are welcome here, and you’ll always find someone who cares and is ready to listen. Whether you choose to participate in our group activities or just stop by for a coffee, you’ll find a warm and friendly atmosphere, where meaningful connections are made, and loneliness is kept at bay.
